It seems me well superficial to retain only the figure 666 in the book of the Apocalypse, because many others images, metaphors, symbols, can attract our attention.
Indeed, in Chapter 2, it is indicated :
" That the one that has ears hears what the Spirit told to churches : To the one that conquers I will give the hidden manna, and I will give it a white pebble ; and on this pebble is written a new name, that nobody knows, if this is that one that receives it. "
What is this pebble, is - this a symbol or a reality, a host or a Tamagotchi, or can be a credit card whose code is not known only that one that possesses it, or well of a mediocre card to personalized flea(it does not remain more than to find which !).

To return some to the number 666, it is written in Chapter 13 :
  "... Then I live to climb the sea a beast that had ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, and on its heads of blasphemy names. (...)
  And all the earth was in the admiration behind the beast. And they adored the dragon, because it had given the authority to the beast ; they adored the beast, by telling : Who is similar to the beast, and who can combat against it ?   Then I live to climb the earth an other beast, that had two similar horns to those of a lamb, and that spoke as a dragon. (...)
  It operated great prodigies, even until to make descend fire of the sky on the earth, in view of men. (...)
  And it made that all, small and great, rich and poor people, free and slaves, got a mark on their straight hand or on their front, and that nobody could buy neither sell, without having the mark, the name of the beast or the number of its name. It is here the wisdom. That the one that has the intelligence calculates the number of the beast. Because it is a number of man, and its number is six hundred sixty - six. "

Markings on the hand or the front have already been tested on the population. During fifteen years, to Disney Land, the long duration visitor could choose between a card of subscriber or a laser tattoo on left hand, in such a way to test their reaction to this new process. What does one have to think of the arrival of Henry Kissinger in the Disney group ?
